Tri-Clamp Ferrules are available in stainless steel alloys 304 and 316L.Tri-clamp Ferrules are used in sanitary process lines to attach a tri-clamp compatible end to a permanently welded end. For orbital welding, long weld clamp versions are usable. Stainless steel tri-Clamp ferrules are available in a range of sizes and shapes to meet the particular design requirements. Both ferrules accessible from Sanitary Fittings maintain the common tri-clamp attachment, but each fitting has its own distinct features.

A standard Stainless Steel Tri-Clover Ferrule is often used in breweries and has gained popularity in homebrewing. It's meant to be welded to vessels or sanitary tubing. Clamp Ferrule Din 32676 is designed of 316L stainless steel.

When assembling process lines, long weld clamp ferrules provide extra space for welding capability. For joining clamp fittings to welded ends, to ensure proper connectivity, an orbital weld is recommended, and tri-clamp connections complete this method line. Short weld ferrules are useful in applications where capacity is at a minimum. However, since the average length is shorter, there is less space to deal with when welding this ferrule into shape. Short weld clamp ferrules are placed in process lines using both tri-clamp and butt welding.

The butt welding end is shorter than the long weld end. Stainless steel designs are available in both 304 and 316L alloys. Used to attach clamp fittings to welded ends,  Orbital weld is recommended to ensure proper connectivity, tri-clamp connections including gaskets and clamps are needed to complete the setup of this fitting. In applications where tube dimensions alter, the tri-clamp reducing ferrule is used. The functionality of this fitting is similar to that of  Tri-Clamp Concentric Reducers, but it is much shorter in total duration
