This nickel-based steel alloy, Alloy C22 Round Bar, also has outstanding tolerance to oxidising aqueous media, even when subjected to environments containing wet chlorine. The Hastelloy C22 ASTM B574 Flat Bar is often proven to be resistant to oxidising acid mixtures containing nitric acid and chlorine ions. But apart from these chemicals, the Hastelloy 2.4602 Rectangular Bar can withstand corrosive media such as oxidising acid chlorides, wet chlorine, formic acid, and acetic acid, as well as ferric and cupric chlorides.
