The measurements of ISO stainless steel pipes are defined in the regular "Pipes conforming to DIN EN ISO 1127”. This norm is based on DIN 2462 (dimensions of seamless pipes) and DIN 2463 (dimensions of welded pipes). The measurements and tolerances of European tubing, carbon/alloy steel, and stainless steel are covered by the EN 10220 and EN 1127 pipe standards, respectively. Din En Iso 1127 Stainless Steel Pipes are used in the food sector, the pharmaceutical industry, secondary processes, and the periphery. They are constructed of hot-rolled sheet metal.

Dimensions, limit dimensions, and lengths are described in this section. In contrast to the previous DIN 2462 and 2463 codes, the concepts for seamless and welded pipes are now combined into a single norm, omitting the distinctions between the two. The surface quality of the parent content, which is defined as marginal "Contrary to pipe standards DIN EN 10357 and others, “orange peel skin” cannot be improved by polishing (cold rolled strip parent material). Further surface condition (roughness, etc.) and ferrite material determinations are not taken into account for ISO pipes.
