The ASTM A320 Gr L7 is a material specification for fasteners, bolts, and nuts. They are intended for use in various high temperature applications. The ASTM A320 Grade L7 Bolts are available in different property classes and each has varied properties, including different stress rupture or tensile properties. They have a wide range of applications, including in pressure vessels, flanges, valves, pipe lines, and more. Thus, it can be concluded that the ASTM A320 Grade L7 Stud Bolt is ideal for medium to high temperature applications.

Both the L7 and L7m grades are manufactured from quenched and tempered alloy steel. Both of them have similar chemical requirements, but there are some differences between the ASTM A320 Grade L7 Vs L7m. For example, the L7 grade has higher strength compared to the L7m grade.

The ASTM A320 Grade L7 Nuts are quite responsive towards the mechanical and heat treatment conducted towards them. The L7 grade corresponds to the chromium steel, wherein chromium is the main content with traces of molybdenum in the alloy. Quenching procedure is conducted on the ASTM A320 Grade L7m products which helps to develop its mechanical properties.
